On July 24, 2022, in Ruhango Sector, Ruhango District in the Southern Province of Rwanda Global initiative for Environment and Reconciliation (GER) Rwanda team accompanied the General Coordinator of African Biodiversity Network (ABN), Dr. Fassil Gebeyehu, in a visit to the Community Group “Urufatiro” or “Basis” in English, which works on unity and reconciliation, climate change, environmental protection, organic agriculture, preserving ecosystems and improving nutrition in households .

GER, in partnership with the Agroecology Fund, worked with the 300 agroecology trained communities to implement the “Emergency Response to Covid-19”, a project that sought to respond quickly to the food problem and hunger that were increased by measures to contain the spread of Covid-19. R

Our exploratory study engaged with men and women for whom community resilience has been the cornerstone to growing success in surviving multiple hazards.

A consultative meeting that attracted fifty youth group leaders from across the Districts of Bugesera, Gasabo, Kicukiro, Musanze, Ruhango and Rwamagana was held on April 5 th, 2022 at Centre Christus Urumuri in Remera Sector, in Gasabo District.
